I'm Pedro Marin Sekine — Brazilian, based in Austria, working at the intersection of design, technology, and communication.
I started in communications, where I learned how to tell stories, frame ideas, and understand audiences. That foundation led me to technology and design — not as separate disciplines, but as complementary ways of shaping how people experience the world.
I'm currently pursuing an MSc in Interdisciplinary Computing at IT:U in Linz, Austria, as part of the inaugural cohort in the Designing Interactions specialisation. My thesis explores Adaptable Design for Product Longevity — how products, especially consumer electronics and AR smart glasses, can be designed from the start to stay relevant over time.
I think of my approach through Scott Adams' concept of the "talent stack": I'm not the world's best at any single thing, but I sit at a rare intersection where design thinking, technical capability, and communication instinct reinforce each other. That combination is what I bring to every project.
At IT:U, I co-founded Cup Club, a student community initiative, serve as cohort speaker, and am building a Student Consultancy with peers. I've also co-authored a robotics paper for IEEE.
I speak Portuguese, English, German, and Spanish.
